Stabbing Incident on Seymour Road
Shortly after 1:00AM Monday morning, 24 August, officers responded to a report of an altercation at a bar on Seymour Road, George Town. It was reported that a male and female, who had been at the bar, left the premises and crossed the street, when they were approached by three men who brandished knives. An altercation ensued, during which the female and male received stab wounds and were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital via private vehicle. The female received life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in serious but stable condition. The male received minor injuries and was subsequently discharged.
The suspects are described as being of dark complexion. One of the males was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, another was wearing a red shirt and black pants, and the third male was wearing all black.
Officers are aware that several persons were nearby at the time the incident occurred, and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
