Sustainable Cayman is thrilled to announce the addition of two new executive officers to their team. According to Controller/Executive Officer, Melanie Carmichael, this exciting development marks a significant step forward in their mission to promote environmental sustainability and conservation in the Cayman Islands.

“We are delighted to welcome Roshini and Rita to our executive team,” said Mrs. Carmichael. “Their expertise and passion for sustainability will be invaluable as we continue to work towards our mission: creating healthy, informed communities and a flourishing natural environment.”

Cayman Brac native, Roshini A. Seeram, brings five+ years’ experience in regulatory and leadership roles in both her career and youth organizations. With a proven track record in finance, Miss Seeram is also on track to pursue a master’s degree in Sustainable Development. She is keen to align the sustainable and finance aspects of her field to enhance the organisation’s strategic initiatives and expand outreach efforts in her new role.

Rita Estevanovich who hails from West Bay, currently works in London as an actor/voice artist, and leverages her extensive background in cultural heritage preservation, arts development and media. Having been recognised as a Cultural Luminary at this year’s Heroes Day, Ms. Estevanovich is joining hands with the dynamic team to explore innovative solutions as well as foster community engagement whilst celebrating and promoting “things Caymanian” through a sustainability lens.

“As the Cayman Islands continues modernising, it is critical we include Caymanians of all ages and backgrounds in the conversation about the long-terms effects of the choices we make today. When we really observe and tune in to these three beautiful islands – acknowledging we are part of, not separate from them - win-win solutions emerge for responsible development and the preservation of indigenous lands which ultimately protect our cultural heritage and biodiversity.”
