The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) repatriated ten (10) migrants to the Republic of Cuba on Tuesday, 26 September 2023.
The ten male migrants departed on a chartered Cayman Airways SAAB aircraft from Grand Cayman at approximately 10:10am and arrived in Cuba at approximately 12:30 pm.
CBC Director Charles Clifford said “I thank our CBC officers for planning and executing another successful repatriation operation to Cuba. They were ably assisted by officers from His Majesty’s Cayman Islands Prison Service and The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service and we sincerely thank them for their collaboration.”
Additional repatriation flights will be arranged as processing continues.
