Beloved by many people, the Singing Christmas Tree is taking place on Saturday and Sunday and promises to be an unforgettable celebration, featuring a stunning blend of local and international talent.

This year’s programme includes performances by renowned soloists Reba Rambo and Jeff Fergusion, alongside the return of beloved artists like Gillian Seecharan from Trinidad and Ainsley and Mortimer Blair from Jamaica. Adding to the excitement, UCCI Performing Arts and Dance Expressions will deliver powerful group performances, while instrumental highlights will include the enchanting sounds of a bagpipe with an Irish touch, a talented violinist, and the vibrant rhythms of pan music.

A special treat this year is the pre-tree segment, designed especially for children, making it a delightful addition for families to enjoy.

At its core, the Singing Christmas Tree reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas—keeping “Christ” in Christmas and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. In a time when the holiday season is often overshadowed by commercialisation, this event stands as a radiant beacon of faith, hope, and unity.

Pastor Torrance Bobb, Director of the Singing Christmas Tree and Pastor of First Assembly of God, said the essence of Christmas was profound yet simple: God became man so that mankind could know Him and find salvation through Him. Through the Singing Christmas Tree, we bring this message to life in a way that resonates with both young and old.

The event has become more than just a tradition; it is a powerful expression of the community’s shared faith and an opportunity to reflect on the season’s divine purpose. It is unique in its ability to bring people together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Its signature feature — the towering Singing Christmas Tree — is a marvel of artistry and engineering, serving as a stage for talented singers who bring the tree to life with music.

The heartfelt energy and joy that each performer and audience member bring to the event make it truly special. It’s an experience that leaves lasting memories and strengthens the bonds of community.

Bringing the Singing Christmas Tree to life is an extraordinary feat that requires months of planning and collaboration. From designing and constructing the iconic tree to organising rehearsals and coordinating every element of the programme, the effort involves singers, musicians, technicians, and volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes.

At the helm of this massive undertaking is Rev. Elsa Bobb, Executive Director of the Singing Christmas Tree. Rev. Bobb, along with her dedicated team and the Singing Christmas Tree Committee, orchestrates the production with unwavering passion and precision. Their collective efforts ensure that every detail is executed flawlessly, from the creative vision to the final rehearsal. It’s a journey of dedication and teamwork, reflecting the love and care that goes into creating this cherished holiday tradition.

The Singing Christmas Tree continues to be a cornerstone of Cayman’s holiday celebrations, offering an uplifting reminder of the season’s true meaning. Join them for this spectacular event and let the magic of the Singing Christmas Tree fill your heart with joy this Christmas.
