The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA), which operates the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) on Grand Cayman and the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA) on Cayman Brac, has announced the closures of Charles Kirkconnell International Airport and Owen Roberts International Airport on Tuesday, 5 November 2024 due to Tropical Depression Eighteen. Charles Kirkconnell International Airport will close at 8:30 a.m., and Owen Roberts International Airport will close at 9:30 a.m.
It is anticipated that both Airports will reopen for normal operations at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 6 November 2024.
Passengers are advised to contact their airlines directly for any flight-related inquiries and updates. Additionally, passengers are reminded to arrange alternative transportation to Owen Roberts International Airport to reduce congestion in the Short-Term and Long-Term parking lots.
