Paradigm Governance Partners, a governance and financial services firm with a presence in the Cayman Islands and New York, has further bolstered the depth of its services by adding two experienced independent directors to its growing team.
Michelle O’Mahony joins from the Maples Group where, for the past ten years, she served as an independent director on a wide range of alternative investment funds including hedge funds, fund of funds, segregated portfolio companies, private equity vehicles and related structures. O’Mahony also administered a portfolio of private wealth and unit trust clients.
Before this, she was a tax manager at Deloitte in the Cayman Islands specialising in taxation services to hedge funds, private equity funds, US Corporations, structured finance entities and other hybrid alternatives established in the Cayman Islands.
O’Mahony’s experience also includes the provision of audit and advisory services to a wide range of alternative investment funds. She also worked as an accounts officer at First Caribbean International Bank in the Cayman Islands responsible for the review and analysis of applications for commercial real estate, business loans and lines of credit for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
Neil Gray will be available to serve as a professional independent director on the boards of both open ended and closed ended funds in addition to Investment Special Purposes Vehicles and other corporate structures.
Gray has acted as a director to Cayman Islands companies for more than 15 years and has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, 26 years spent offshore. He sits on a broad range of open and closed ended funds with strategies including equity, credit, quantitative, fund of funds, special situations, private equity and real estate. He has extensive experience and knowledge of hedge fund governance, operations, fund administration and regulatory risk management. He also acts as a director on a number of other corporate structures.
Prior to Paradigm, Gray spent 26 years at Intertrust Cayman where he acted as a professional independent director inclusive of his time with Intertrust Cayman’s Ironstone Global Solutions (Cayman).
