Anyone looking to take a trip to the west coast of the United States is encouraged to book Cayman Airways’ new non-stop service right away, as seats, at their introductory airfare of just US$399 (including taxes), are likely to go quickly.
Restriction do apply, however. Tickets must be issued within one day of booking or by 8 August, 2022, whichever is earlier. All segments must be confirmed. Fares are non-refundable and non-transferable. Seats are limited for this fare and may not be available on every flight. Change fee is US$150 plus any fare difference. In case of no show, ticket has no value.
The new nonstop west coast service will operate weekly from Grand Cayman, starting on Saturday 5 November and returns from Los Angeles on Sundays. Inbound flight time is just five and a half hours.
Tourism and Transport Minister Kenneth Bryan said since this new route to Los Angeles was announced, there had been tremendous interest, particularly by the tourism and business communities.
“I am confident that both the service and the competitive fares will be well received and I encourage travellers to book early to ensure availability,” he said.
As well as playing an import role in stimulating stayover visitation from the western corridor of the United States, it is anticipated that the new route will also enhance air connectivity for people travelling to and from South East Asia, making the Cayman Islands more accessible to other markets.
“It has been a long-time goal to connect the Cayman Islands with our friends on the West Coast, and now that we are able to offer long-haul flights via Cayman Airways, I am looking forward to showcasing all that our islands have to offer with a whole new audience,” the Minister said.
