In a bid to expose the public – and, in particular, students - to all the great jobs in Cayman within the fields of technology and innovation, WORC (Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman) is holding its Technology Expo on 1st November at UCCI, under the theme: Innovate, Automate, Elevate.

The one-day expo will take place in the Sir Vassel Johnson Hall on the UCCI campus and will showcase a wide range of local businesses and Government departments which employ innovation and technology, which will be demonstrated at this interactive event.

The day will be split into two sessions. The morning session, from 9.30am to 12.45pm, will be targeting school students only, while the afternoon session, from 1.3pm to 4.30pm, will be open to the general public.

Visitors can expect interactive booths, expert insights, and a great opportunity to network with people in some interesting and innovative industries who are keen to showcase their work in a bid to attract Cayman’s bright young minds into their chosen career.

Last year’s WORC Expo featured the construction industry and WORC said the feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the chance to explore career paths in construction, and in particular, participants appreciated connecting with potential employers. It is anticipated that this year’s expo will offer event-goers the same insights into the field of technology and innovation.

Young people stepping into the workforce for the first time into these fields and more experienced workers looking to change careers should drop by and see what exciting opportunities await them.
